Allow us to guide you through our signature, proven photography experience so you can come away with beautiful, luxe imagery that expresses both your journey as a mother and your newborn’s precious moments.
The moments of your maternity and the early days of your child's birth are among the most momentous occasions in your life. Capturing them is not only deeply important but necessary to preserving your memories.
Your proofing gallery will be available in approximately 14 days after your session. You will be able to view your beautiful portraits and select your collection after watching your slideshow of fully edited images. Once you purchase your collection, you will be able to download your selected images immediately. You will have up to 30 days to select your images for download and purchase additional products. Your portrait session will be a completely stress-free experience in the studio. You will have your hair and make up done by our amazing artist for about an hour and half. After hair and makeup, we will photograph you in a variety of looks for up to two hours. Your session will be fully guided and we help you with posing and styling throughout your session. Partner and sibling shots are included with every session.

At your consultation, we will discuss your vision for your maternity session. We pride ourselves on tailoring your maternity session to your needs. You will be able to review our extensive client closet of couture gowns, dresses, robes, capes, bodysuits, silks and so much more.

We recommend that you book your session once you are in your 2nd trimester. A session fee of $495 reserves your session on our calendar. Collections are purchased separately. Collections start at $1,295.

The Maternity Portrait Session lasts about 3.5 hours and is held in our studio in Winchester. Our extensive client wardrobe as well as hair and makeup are included with your session fee. Fill out the contact form to receive session and pricing information.

Do you have a studio? Where do you offer sessions?
Yes! Every photo session takes place in our fine-art studio at One Mount Vernon Street, Suite 205 Winchester MA 01890. You can find out more about the studio HERE. Please note we do not offer outdoor sessions at this time.
What time of day do you generally schedule sessions?
We most frequently schedule photography sessions during the morning hours to allow time for arrival, hair and makeup, wardrobe prep, styling, and, of course, photography. Although we offer weekend sessions, we have limited weekend availability so we ask that you contact us in advance if you would prefer a Saturday or Sunday time slot.
How do you schedule newborn sessions? What if the baby arrives early or late?
When you book with us, we will add you to our calendar for your due date, reserving time before and after the date just in case the baby comes a little early or late. Once you deliver, contact us as soon as possible, and from there, we can select a firm date for your session within two weeks of your delivery.
Why do you photograph newborns so soon after delivery? Can I schedule a
newborn session when they’re a bit older instead?
We schedule newborn sessions soon after delivery because ideally, we’d like for your baby to sleep as much as possible during the session. During this time window, babies tend to be sleepy and more amenable to posing. After their first two weeks of life, babies will have longer periods of wakefulness and will feel more disrupted by the posing and photographing. For this reason, we are firm on scheduling your baby’s session within 2 weeks to ensure that we can do our best work and you come away with the highest quality photos.
Do you offer hair and makeup?
When you book a maternity session with Susie Boston, hair and makeup is already included! We take care of it all so you can simply show up and enjoy the experience. Our trusted hair and makeup artists have over 15 years of experience working at high end salons on Newbury Street, so you can feel confident that you will be taken care of by the very best at every step in the photography process.
Do you offer wardrobe? What should I wear?
Maternity clients will have access to our extensive client wardrobe which includes gowns, dresses, robes, capes and assorted. casual pieces. For newborn sessions, simple clothing choices are best for creating timeless portraits that aren’t easily dated. I suggest solid colors, avoiding busy patterns, stripes or logos/words. Newborns are photographed in their birthday suits and in wraps. We provide all the wraps, hats, bonnets, headbands and cozy knitted onesies for your newborn. Outfits are not needed.
